Age of Heroes
The era between the Time of Beginings and the Descent of Madness, and overlapping each. This is the age of Psomnas, Coren Delor, and Trenimelsis, the only three mortals to become Patrons. The greatest works of magic, of war, and of learning began and ended with the three, and the city of Charndale— their greatest work— still remains unblemished.
The legends of each of their exploits fill volumes in Peranorn‘s various libraries, and though surely much is legend, much is also true. It is known that Psomnas first unraveled the mystery of magic’s source, and that in the final battle of the First War, he stood between Elves and Dragons and refused to allow them combat. It is his magic that powers Charndale’s protections, and nearly all remaining artifacts bear his mark. It is unknown when or how he died, but he vanished from all contact around 300 PDM.
It is known that Coren Delor was the Elven general who lead the Elves in their war. He was never known to cast a spell, but surely magic flowed through him. His strategy and his tactics gave the Elves an advantage the dragons could never overcome. His understanding of the logistics of warfare, and his teachings of personal combat remain staples of military training today.
